The abstract painting ‘Long is the way’ with gold mosaic on a blue and black background. This work is taken from the quotation « Long is the way and hard, that out of Hell leads up to light ». (‘Paradise Lost’ by John Milton). The golden mosaic is a metaphor for the path through the darkness that leads up to the light. To reinforce this idea of illuminating the darkness, the path is phosphorescent in the dark.
