Madie

"Madie" is a contemporary woman portrait painting which explores a fragmented identity constructed on silences, brokenness and scars. The face is not shown as a whole: some parts are revealed, others are hidden, marked by invisible scars.
Between restraint and tension, the artwork questions what we keep to ourselves and what we allow to be seen.
