As in all my portraits, "Liania" is a female portrait that want to show the different parts of oneself as a woman : darkness, light, doubt or courage.
Here, the sentence "I am not a woman" means that this is not a real woman: not only is she only the image, frozen in time, of a woman, but she is also inspired of a photograph created by artificial intelligence. The representation of this woman is therefore far from a real woman, who has flaws and who is aging.
As a contemporary feminist painter, I seek to explore the complexity of emotions, deconstruct stereotypes and celebrate the inner strength of women. For me, this is a celebration of emotions, a hymn to women's inner strength and a call to constantly explore our own light, even in the midst of darkness.
