Katheryn displays a calm, almost controlled face, whose shadows remain deliberately blurred and chaotic. Under black light, hands appear and cover her face—an image of what silently holds us back: fears, doubts, or the past. What seemed stable then reveals a more fragile side, hidden just beneath the surface.

Katheryn is part of an approach centered on identity: an illuminated, composed face, with deliberately blurred, unfinished areas of shadow that reveal a deeper turmoil. It is only under black light that the other side of the work appears: hands covering her face, symbolizing everything that holds her back, weighs her down, restrains her—old fears, lingering doubts, traces of the past. The canvas thus plays on two levels of interpretation: what we think we see at first glance, and what exists only at the edge of the shadows, revealing an identity that is more complex than it appears.
